i drill hundreds of slate every day and go through some walls. Slate is soft enough to not worry about drilling or lubrication. i Thousands drilling shale, with a little cheap. When I was a fully charged battery and go through several at once. no problem. Infact, most of the time with the tip of the hammer to make a hole. depends on the Council, however, the slate used for roofing, much better than the soil or landscape. They do very well, have fun! I make Christmas presents slate for me this year!

Depending on the size of the holes.
Slate drilled together reason for using similar exercises.
Slate is soft enough to work well for a few pieces of regular holes.
Not only did carbide obtained.
Several holes 1 / 4 "on a pass w / no problem.
Shattered little, but does the job. (There were spare parts)
As previously mentioned exercise slowly,
Good idea to back up the board w / wood to avoid waste, blow into the hole.
Best regards

some are using concrete and a lower speed if the list is sure to add liquid cooling medium thick Clock bit thin, and when the pressure is used to drill the jury may easily break. Good luck
